Associate Care & Rehabilitation Expert

If you are looking to broaden your skill set and take the next step in your career within the rehabilitation sector, here are some reasons why you should consider becoming an associate expert witness at Sherwood Therapy Services.

 

  • Small supportive team of expert witness associates who share knowledge and best-practice.

  • Nationwide medico-legal instructions for claimants and defendants.  You will have the flexibility to manage your own caseload.

  • Access to a broad and varied CPD programme, as well as internal documents and resources to aid you in report writing and throughout the litigation process.

  • Mentoring and supervision from a supervisor with over 20 years’ clinical experience.

  • Access to 9 am to 5 pm administrative support from an employed office-based team.  In addition to this, there is a separate report quality assurance team who check and comb through your reports twice!

  • We offer a competitive hourly rate that progresses in line with your clinical expertise.

 

If you are an occupational therapist (with at least eight years’ postgraduate experience) and undertake case management work as part of your clinical practice and feel that you can demonstrate the following:

 

Professional Skills

  • Experience of working with clients who have sustained catastrophic life changing injuries.

  • Designing and managing care packages (ideally, as a case manager).

  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Organising and arranging equipment assessments.

 

Key Competencies

  • Decisive, with the ability to evidence reasoning for your decisions.

  • Pro-active, flexible, and be able to meet or exceed expected deadlines.

  • Professional and assertive in order to robustly counter contrary and differing opinions throughout the litigation process.

  • Confident communicator, with the ability to build up rapport with families, colleagues, and other professionals.

  • Possess a high-level of attention to detail adopting a methodical and thorough approach to all assessments and reports undertaken.

We are also regulated by CQC and value this regulation above all else. We ensure that you know your obligations and have the necessary training and documents to showcase your outstanding work to our regulatory body.

STS offers a fantastic programme of CPD events and opportunities. We have industry contacts who we work with to provide intimate and bespoke training programmes all year round. 

We also have regular team building events and meetings so you can network with our group of associates and to ensure you are kept up to date of all in house projects.
